Oatmeal Cookies

 

1 C sugar

1 C shortening

1 C brown sugar, packed

2 eggs

2 C flour

1 t soda

½ t baking powder

½ t salt

2 t cinnamon

1 t vanilla

2 C oatmeal

1 ½ C chopped pecans

 

Cream shortening, sugars and eggs. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Dough will be very stiff. Place mounds of cookie dough (about one T on greased cookie sheet and bake 10-12 minutes at 350. Cookies will not look done.
