Lace Cookies
Preheat oven to 325
Mix 3 T granulated sugar, 2 T light molasses, 3 T butter, and 4 t water; bring to boil. Remove from heat. Sift together 1/3 C sifted all-purposed flour, ½ t bakinb powder, ½ t cinnamon, and dash salt; blend into hot mixture.
Stir in ¼ C finely chopped pecans. Bake cookies 2 at a time on well greased cookie sheet, using 1 T batter for each. Baked at 325 about 8 minutes.
Remove from oven; let cool 1 minute. Loosen around edge with spatula, working toward center. Curve over side of greased glass. Makes about 12 cookies.
