Baby Ruth Cookies

 

1 ¼ C unsifted flour

½ t baking powder

½ t salt

1 stick margarine or butter

¾ C sugar

1 egg

½ t vanilla

1 C chopped Baby Ruth bars (frozen)

(After you chop Baby Ruth bar, put it in freezer. It will keep it from melting too much during baking.)

Sift together flour, baking soda and salt; set aside. Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in Egg and vanilla. Stir in Baby Ruth pieces and dry ingredients until well blended. Chill dough for 30 minutes. Drop dough by teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Cool on wire racks.
